After the big Asian tsunami hit back in 2005, I felt the need to help, so I put my Garth Brooks autographed guitar up for sale on eBay to raise money for the Red Cross.  Garth auctioned one of his guitars and raised over $50,000 for his Teammates for kids foundation.  This is what gave me the idea.  I had a guitar exactly like this one that I searched for for over 5 years.
This is the guitar that I had bought on eBay for $1200.  I examined the signature and it looked authentic!  Why would someone forge a signature on a $1200 guitar and sell it for $1200?  I thought it had to be real.  Garth's attorney (Rusty Jones) called me and said that Garth thought the signature may be fake.  I sent the guitar to Bob Doyle (Garth's manager) to verify the signature.  You can do a search and find the full news story on the net somewhere.
This is the guitar after Garth sent it back to me.  Garth said he didn't want me to sell it, so he personalized it.  He said he wanted me to keep it and that he would take care of the donation.  ($1.8 million) Nice guy!
